Who we are

This policy covers lumilative.com, together with any mobile or web application we publish, and is issued by Lumilative L.L.C-FZ, trading as Lumilative Design Studio. We are the controller of the personal data described here.

The law we follow

We handle personal data under Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data of the United Arab Emirates. Where a visitor writes to us from the European Union or the United Kingdom, we also apply the standards of the General Data Protection Regulation.

What we collect

  • Your name, contact details and the content of your enquiry, when you write or call.
  • Project material you share with us: plans, photographs, measurements, budgets and anything else needed to do the work.
  • Technical records kept by our hosting provider, such as the IP address and browser type of a request. These are used to keep the site running and secure.

This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and does not track visitors across sites. If that ever changes, we will say so here, on this page, before it does.

Why we use it, and on what basis

  • To answer your enquiry and to carry out the work you asked for: our contract.
  • To keep records required of a company registered in the United Arab Emirates: our legal obligations.
  • To keep the website available and secure: our legitimate interest in running it.
  • To publish photographs of a finished project: your consent, asked for separately and withdrawable at any time.

Who else sees it

We do not sell personal data and do not share it for third-party advertising. We do rely on service providers who process data on our instructions: website hosting and content delivery, email, and file storage. Their servers may sit outside the United Arab Emirates, so your data may be transferred abroad; we choose providers who commit to appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

We also disclose data where the law requires it, for example to a court or a regulator.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become projects: up to 12 months.
  • Project material and correspondence: for the duration of the project and five years afterwards, in line with the record-keeping expected of a UAE company.
  • Hosting records: the short retention period set by our hosting provider.

You can ask us to delete your data earlier, and we will unless the law requires us to keep it.

How we protect it

The site is served over an encrypted connection. Access to project files and correspondence is limited to the people working on your project, and we use established providers for storage and email rather than keeping copies on personal devices.

Your rights

You may ask us for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, ask us to restrict or stop a particular use, object to processing based on our legitimate interest, ask for your data in a portable form, and withdraw any consent you have given. Write to hello@lumilative.com and we respond within 30 days.

If you believe we have handled your data wrongly, you may complain to the UAE Data Office, or to the data protection authority of your country if you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom.

Children

This site and our work are addressed to adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, write to hello@lumilative.com and we will delete it.

Applications

We do not publish an application today. When we do, this policy will cover it, and any collection specific to that application, together with a way to delete an account and its data, will be described here before release.

Any revision is published on this page with a new date at the top.
